Data Strategy Lead | Day Rate Contract | Hybrid, Dublin
My client is looking for a senior data leader to help it get a clear picture of how data is managed and used across the business, and to set out where it should go next. You'll work with leaders across the organisation to turn strategy into a practical, prioritised plan, with data, analytics and AI at the centre. This is a day rate contract with a hybrid working pattern, based in Dublin.
Your responsibilities
- Assess the current data landscape, including platforms, governance and ways of working
- Identify gaps, duplication and risk, and recommend where to act first
- Measure data maturity and define the target state
- Build a prioritised roadmap with a clear case for investment
- Set the principles, standards and operating model that guide how data is owned and used
- Run workshops with business and technology teams
- Present recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders, in language both technical and non-technical audiences can follow
Your experience
- Led data strategy, data management or data teams at scale
- Built strategies or roadmaps that were funded and delivered
- Solid understanding of data governance, data platforms and how analytics and AI create value
- Comfortable working alongside architects and engineers, even if architecture isn't your main discipline
- Confident with senior stakeholders, able to influence decisions without relying on formal authority
- Experience with data maturity assessments, cloud data platforms or consulting-style engagements is a plus
