We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Engineer to join a leading global technology consultancy, supporting a major client within an established Security Operations Centre (SOC). This is an initial 6-month rolling contract, with Melbourne-based candidates preferred, although applicants from other Australian locations will be considered.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, security monitoring and incident response, along with a solid background working within a SOC environment. An active NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory.
Active NV1 Security Clearance – essential.
Proven experience working within a Security Operations Centre (SOC).
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, including security monitoring, alert investigation and incident management.
Experience investigating, triaging and responding to security incidents and threats.
Strong understanding of SIEM technologies, threat detection and security operations.
Experience analysing security logs, identifying suspicious activity and escalating incidents.
Familiarity with Microsoft Defender and the wider Microsoft security ecosystem is highly desirable.
Knowledge of security frameworks, incident response processes and common cyber threats.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within an established SOC team.
Location: Melbourne preferred, open to candidates Australia-wide.
Contract: Initial 6 months, rolling extensions.
Clearance: Active NV1 mandatory.
